Third & Fourth Year (2011-2012)
Everette's third and fourth year were transitional years. He left the Carolina Panthers and was picked up mid-season by the San Diego Chargers. After transitioning from defensive end to outside linebacker, he was forced to learn how to truly be a hybrid player. Following the 2011 season, he was signed by the Detroit Lions as a defensive end. Everette spent the entire off season and preseason in 2012 training with the Detroit Lions.
Second Year (2010)
In his second year, Everette took what he learned on and off the field as a Rookie and perfected his craft. He put on weight to help him compete with the larger offensive lineman and looked to dominate the field. Everette started the entire preseason and split his time playing both the left and right side of the ball during the regular season. Prior to a season-ending wrist injury during Week 14 against the Falcons, Everette recorded 25 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 interception. Everette was certainly putting in work on the field but he ensured that he had time to continue giving back to the community. He participates in the official Got Milk Challenge Pep Rallies as the official representative from the Carolina Panthers, and continues to be an active participate in the NFL Play 60 imitative.
Rookie Year (2009)
As the 43rd pick of the 2009 NFL Draft Everette
was the Carolina Panthers’ first pick overall. The Panthers decided to forgo
their 1st Round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft to acquire the
All-America defensive end. As a rookie, Everette was on the depth chart behind
former Panther Julius Peppers. In fifteen of the regular season games with one
start, Everette recorded 2.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 22 tackles. He ranked
second on the team with 16 quarterback pressures. At the completion of the
season, Everette was named on the Sporting News 2009 All-Rookie Team.
The North Carolina native also took advantage of being in
his home state by continuing his service to the community. Everette worked
closely with the Panther staff and the NFL with the NFL Play 60 initiative. In
the summer of 2010, Everette hosted his inaugural Family Field Day and Football
Camp.
College
Senior Year (2008): After an exciting 2008 campaign, redshirt junior, Everette
Brown elected to forgo his senior season and enter the 2009 NFL Draft. Everette was named the Seminoles starter at
the right defensive end position in each of the 13 games during the 2008
regular season. He earned All-America second team honors by Phil Steele,
Rivals.com, Associated Press, Scout.com and Walter Camp. In addition, he was named third team
All-American by SI.com and honorable mention All-American according to Pro
Football Weekly.

Sophomore Year (2007): Everette found himself starting at the left defensive end
position where he earned a career-high eight starting assignments. He has
played in 26 consecutive games in his first two seasons as a Seminole. Everette
led the team in sacks and defensive linemen in tackles and tackles for loss.
His stats for the season were a career high 37 tackles, a single-season career
high with 6.5 sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss. Following his sophomore year he
held 9.5 quarterback sacks and was on course to finish in FSU all-time top 10
for career sacks.
Freshman Year (2006): After redshirting in 2005, Everette earned Freshman
All-America and All-ACC Freshman team honors by the Sporting News. He played in
all 13 while starting in three. He totaled nine tackles as a starter including
a single game career high six in the victory over Duke. Everette finished eighth
on the team and second among freshmen in tackles with 27. In addition to being
tied for third on the team in sacks, Everette recorded his first career blocked
field goal attempt against Troy.

Everette Brown is from Stantonsburg, North Carolina and was born August 7, 1987. He graduated from Beddingfield High School and earned his bachelor degree in Social Science from Florida State University. A leader on and off the field, Everette is very active in the community and donates his time freely for a variety of projects. He spends the majority of his off the field time working with his official charity the Everette Brown Bag Foundation. The Foundation focuses on reducing childhood obesity by educating children and their families about the importance of exercising and eating healthy by simply getting back to the basics. Everette’s family consists of his parents, Odell and Jenai Brown, sister DeAndrea, brothers DeForest and Tobias, and his two dogs Carolina and Coupe.
